Microsoft, a rather successful international company that over the
years has developed products like Windows and Office products like Word
and Excel are now starting to look at Gapminder to find ways to better
visualize complex data in a understandable way.
Kevin Schofield, General Manager at Microsoft Research recently
presented some of the tools that Microsoft are working on at the
moment, at Microsofts annual convergence conference on 14 March. Among
other things he showed a animated graph technology similar to
Trendalyzer and credited Gapminder.
This is of course not yet a product from Microsoft but just a first
demo shown at a customer conference and there are no news on when or if
this is something that will be available for end users.
Gapminder is happy see that Microsoft realizes the potential
