Frameworks

In school we learn the world map. It’s an extremely useful framework for thinking about the geographical world. But most schools don’t give students any simple frameworks for other aspects of the world. Gapminder is fixing that.

Everybody has a worldview. There’s no way you can avoid it. Our brains make up a picture of what the world probably looks like, based on our intuition, myths and news reports. It’s over-simplistic and often completely wrong. Gapminder’s frameworks are also simplistic, but based on facts. We use these frameworks to replace common misconceptions. We use them consistently in our communication, as they are generally useful for understanding all kinds of global topics.
