The name of the main income indicator shown when Gapminder World is started has been revised for clarity, but the data remain the same. It is now called “Income per person (GDP/capita, inflation-adjusted $).
This is our attempt to clarify that this indicator in fact adjusts for inflation. It also adjusts for differences in purchasing power across countries. In other words, this is the best available indicator for comparing living standards across time and between countries and we hope the new indicator name better reflects this.

Good call, clarity is always welcome.
While on the topic of changes in gapminder, is there any kind of feedback form or feature request-system here? I assume you’re always hard at work, but it would be nice for us laymen to able to contribute ideas.
A community forum of some kind?
Thank you for your comments Markus.
We will hopefully be able to implement some sort of user feedback system in the months to come.
Best regards.
