There are a number of ways, on the "list of current indicators in Gapminder World" found on this link, you get a long list of indicators with a download-to-excel-link at the end of the row.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pk7kRzzfckbzz4AmH_e3DNA&gid=3

Another way to find the indicator you want is to click the little icon or symbol next to the indicator name in the actual graph (in Gapminder World) then you go to the Google Spreadsheet with al the data. if you right &output=xls after the url in the url-field you can download a google spreadsheet in excel-format.

For example the carbon dioxide link is:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=phAwcNAVuyj1gkNuUEXOGag

To download that on just go to:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=phAwcNAVuyj1gkNuUEXOGag&output=xls

But the easiest way is by far to use the first table with all the download links.

Good Luck!

How can I download the actual data? In the presentation Mr. Hans Rosling said that the public UN data will be made available for download so engineers can write their own applications or presentation tools.
I only see the options to download Flash / PDF presentation but not the actual underlying data.
Since the data is not proprietary can you please make them available for download or point us to location to download the data?

Thanks
