Dear JSG,
thank you for your interesting suggestions. We are planning to add more on growth in the future. However, our abililties to add new features in the graphing software itself are very limited.
Thanks for your interest in Gapminder,
Mattias Lindgren, Gapminder

I'm glad I finally found growth (i.e. derivative of income over time) but strictly speaking the graphing itself needs to allow plot axis to be *any* variable derivative with respect to time (and cumulative integral would be nice also).

This would be especially useful to construct dynamical system phase diagrams of any given parameter value or pair which would be highly informative.

For example, try plotting Total Income vs Income Growth per Capita for Asia Tigers, some European countries and the US. Quite a difference! It suggests productivity growth which could be population based, being the reserve currency control, mercantilism or pre-cursors to our current financial crisis. The fact that the UK, Germany, Russia follow the Tigers is suggestive. In any case it's very interesting.
