The requests for the opportunity to make own Gapminder-graphs has
been tremendous. Now you can convert your time series into moving bubbles. Google acquired the software behind Gapminder World in 2007 and their first output is now up and running as a free Google Gadget called Motion Chart. It allows evryone to make a gapminder-like bubble graph that you can publish on your web-page or blog.

Gapminder launches new community
In addition to Motion Chart from Google, Gapminder is now starting a community for those urging to share and turn their time series of statistical indicators for countries of the world into Gapminder-like bubble graph on their website. The community use a system powered by Trendalyzer and Google spreadsheet.
Instead of bringing all available data to one web page, Gapminder Graphs enables the conversion of time series from many different data providers into understandable graphics on many web-pages where different global issues are dealt with. In each of these web-graphs in the community, links will bring visitors back to the providers documentation on sources and methods.
We hope that international statistical agencies, universities and non governmental organisations will find this to be a useful way to share well documented time series in animated graphics that can be understood by broad user groups.
The member requirements are
- That you have time series for countries and territories with documented sources and methods of compilation.
- That the time series are indicators for countries and territories of the world.
- That you agree to and have the right to freely share those time series.
If you or your organization wants to join the Gapminder Graph community, read more at: Gapminder Charts Development Blog.
