I absolutely love Hans Rosling.
I have downloaded all his videos from TED and show them to as many people as possible.
He is fascinating, ingenuous, incredibly funny, courageous but most of all inspiring.
I just want to go back to school to attend one of his lectures.
We need more people like him. Shall we clone him..??
Regards from Italy

Unfortunately you can't add your own data to Gapminder World. But what you can do is to copy data from Gapminder World to your gadget. Try finding the data set of your interest from the data page where we link back to the data provider and to the actual spreadsheet.
Best regards.

Many thanks for giving such great pedagogical tools available to everyone!
INNOVATION: You have some data on patents, which tells us about invention of a new product or service. Most of these data go back about 20 years. May you add data that go back longer?
And also, do you have data that includes the commercialization phase of inventions, i.e. bringing them to market, in other words; do you have data on innovation? It could be data like e.g. Pro-Inno Europe presents every year, but this is limited to Europe. Innovation tells us about value creation, and it would be very interesting to see the time series against several variables in your dataset.
In any way, thanks again for supplying this wonderful tool!
Thanks,
Peder

Hello,
Could your organization possibly make a Gap minder presentation showing the taboo information on the Afghan war documents recently leaked to wiki leaks. In so much that those with much power would surrender to communities and their ideals of love. Computers show us when information moves fast enough; it becomes control. The control structures of society are not always democratic, in fact merchants and banks behave as the aristocracies of the dark ages. Could you help communicate some light?

Thank you,
Michael Hughes

P.S. If we don't love what we can see, how can we love what we don't see?

Rare Sharing of Data Leads to Progress on Alzheimer’s
By GINA KOLATA
Published: August 12, 2010
The key to a collaborative Alzheimer’s project was an ambitious agreement to share all the data, making every single finding public immediately.

P.s. Thanks for an excellent speech today at IFLA. It is the best speech I have ever heard. It is very inspiring. I have had my students view your amazing presentations for over two years, but hearing your speech here was an unforgettable experience.
