Gapminder World 2006 was nominated to the prestigious Webby Award, "The Oscar of the Internet", a great honor in it self. But it was the popular photo sharing tool FLICKR that won the category, Best visual design, in which Gapminder was one of five nominated.

We will continue to make complicated and boring statistics understandable, interesting and fun, which is the main purpose of our work. And the take the webby next year.
